VueMinder offers a comfortable solution for scheduling events or appointments, keeping notes, organizing contacts or storing other information worth remembering. It allows you to create and view your appointments directly on your desktop, on a transparent window. The software comes with a wide variety of features and its controls are very easy to understand.

VueMinder is available in several versions, including a free one. Installing the program is easy and it takes only a few seconds to complete the operation. It works on Windows XP, Vista, Win 7 and Win 8, as well as various server editions. The hardware requirements are modest and there is no need to install any additional tools.

The software comes with two user interfaces, which have similar options and layouts. Besides the aforementioned transparent calendar, you can also work on a normal opaque window, which contains more customization options. There are several ways to create and schedule an event. A fast way is to insert its title directly in one of the calendar's cells. The calendar can be switched between month, week and day view modes, which can help you schedule an event more precisely. Events can be defined on a tabbed editing window as well. This method takes a bit longer, but you can make more specifications, prioritize the event, set up alarms, make the event recurring and much more.

It is worth mentioning that VueMinder allows you to work with more than one calendar. You may create new calendars, for other purposes or other people. This does not mean that you will have more calendars filling your desktop. Creating a new calendar involves choosing how the scheduled events should look like. You can choose different font settings, text and background colors, with or without gradients. This means that you may color code your scheduled events, based on any criteria you want.

The transparent interface displays the same calendar and scheduled events. You can schedule new appointments, switch to different view modes and perform other actions just like on the opaque window. What's more, the transparent window can be replaced with a mini-calendar, which displays a single month. If you have one or more scheduled events, their corresponding dates will be highlighted on the mini-calendar.
